Social and Environmental Sustainability
At Weld-Con we do not see industry, social responsibility and environmental stewardship as mutually exclusive positions. As a company we understand that there are inherent societal and environmental challenges that need to be addressed. We believe that informed decision making, critical and conscious choices can lead to sustainable and beneficial solutions.
In the face of climate change we are trying harder than ever to help our clients find cleaner energy solutions. We are also beginning to measure our reactive energy (wasted energy) with the intention of reducing it substantially.
With our CSR department, we also focus on many social challenges in the surrounding communities. We intend to build Kenya’s social infrastructure through increasing access to education, striving for gender equality, skill building and to build a collaborative eco-system comprising Weld-Con, the community, our employees and NGO’s.We strive to use the UN development goals as our guide-lines to build a better tomorrow.
